The Northeast Volunteer Fire Department is always in need for well rounded, enthusiastic people to join our team.
The main thing you need to make sure of before joining our department is TIME. While the personal satisfaction in a job well done is tremendous, the training required to become a firefighter or first responder is considerable and never ending. In addition the actual calls will take you away from your families and other activities at unpredictable times, you will also be putting your life at risk due to the nature of our duties. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, we have a few requirements that you must meet...
You must be 18 years of age
You must have a valid drivers license
No previous felony convictions. (You will need to go to the Midland County Sheriff's office for a background check)
Must be available the first and third Monday of every month to attend meetings and training.
If you meet these requirements we invite you to fill out an application. You can stop by our station on the 1st or 3rd Monday of every month at 7 p.m. or you can click on the application button below to print out a PDF file and bring it by.
You're always welcome to sit in on one of our training sessions.
Thank you for considering joining the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department.
